I drew inspiration from Mediterranean fruit markets and sunlit cafes to contrast Toronto's dense urban core, especially with it located in downtown surrounded by skyscrapers. The goal was to stand out in Toronto's crowded urban cafe scene and provide customers with a warm, energizing space that feels both refreshing and familiar.
The main challenge was creating a brand that felt fresh and joyful without becoming overly whimsical or niche. It had to balance playful elements—like citrus motifs and sunny tones—with enough clarity and sophistication to appeal to a wide urban audience and work across both physical and digital touchpoints.
The strategy focused on creating a warm, energizing visual identity that could cut through the noise of Toronto’s crowded cafe scene. I combined hand-drawn elements with clean layouts and vibrant citrus-inspired colors to evoke both comfort and curiosity, building a brand that feels inviting, uplifting, and instantly recognizable.
