I started by diving into EF’s audience and environment—looking at how students interact with the brand, what’s visually engaging for a younger international crowd, and how EF shows up in different cities. I also took cues from Toronto’s culture and public spaces to make sure the designs felt rooted in the city.
EF updated its brand guidelines every season, so each project had to align with a new visual direction. A key challenge was adapting each project to the latest standards while still maintaining a cohesive look across formats, functions, and audiences.
I focused on creating designs that were bold, clear, and welcoming for an international student audience—maintaining visual consistency across projects while still being flexible enough to respond to seasonal brand changes and different communication goals.
